Dress Code for Golf
Men must wear golf shirt (tucked in) with sleeves and golf slacks. Shorts may be worn provided that they are no more than four inches above the knee. Jeans, cutoffs, denim, tee shirts, spandex, and gym sweats are not permitted.
Ladies' shorts and skirts must be no more than four inches above the knee. Golf slacks, culottes and sleeveless tops with collars are permitted. Halters, midriffs, short shorts, tennis length shorts, denim of any kind, tee shirts, spandex, and gym sweats are not permitted.
Both men and women must wear "spikeless" golf shoes or rubber soled (non-cleated) shoes. Golf shoes with spikes are not permitted on the golf course. No one is allowed on the course barefooted.
Changing into golf apparel must not be done in the club parking lot or out of your car. Locker rooms are provided for this purpose.
Dress Code for Dining
During the golf season, golf apparel, as defined above, is permitted in all dining rooms.
For luncheon dining in the Grill, casual attire is permitted which includes neat and clean denim and jeans. Short shorts, cut-offs, bib overalls, work-type blue jeans and ripped jeans with holes are not permitted, however. Guests are strongly cautioned that the casual attire permitted in the Grill may be unacceptable on the golf course.
For evening dining in the Main Dining Room, suitable country club attire is permitted, including golf attire, during the golf season after playing golf. Shorts are not permitted during the non-golf season. Jeans and denim are are permitted. Guests dressed inappropriately will not be seated. Jackets, without ties, are suggested, but not required, for men on Friday and Saturday evenings in winter. Guests are strongly cautioned that the casual attire permitted in the Hiwan Room may be unacceptable on the golf course.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any Hiwan dining room. Club personnel will be pleased to direct you to designated smoking areas within the clubhouse, or check with your member-host.
